Rick Tabaracci has joined TSN inside sports

(press release)

TORONTO, May 9 /CNW/ -- Calgary Flames goaltender Rick Tabaracci is back in the Stanley Cup playoff picture.
Tabaracci has joined host Dave Hodge on `TSN Inside Sports: Adidas Road to the Stanley Cup,' airing weekdays at 7 p.m. (ET)/4 p.m. (PT). The Flames goaltender will be the guest analyst for the second round of the playoffs.
"It's been a great experience," says Tabaracci. "In the back of my mind I was thinking about television as a possible career in the future. I never thought I would test the waters this early."
Tabaracci played in three of the Flames' four playoff losses in the first round against the Chicago Blackhawks. Despite the early exit from the playoffs, the Toronto native enjoyed his most successful season in the NHL, splitting time in the Calgary net with Trevor Kidd. Tabaracci played in 43 games during the 1995-96 season and posted a winning record of 19-16-3, including a career-high three shutouts.
The 27-year-old goaltender has played six seasons in the NHL, suiting up for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Winnipeg Jets, Washington Capitals and the Flames.
"Dave and the guys have been great," says Tabaracci. "Working with Dave has really made it a lot easier."
Hodge, the 1995 Gemini Award winner for best sportscaster in Canada, continues to provide insightful and informative interviews with key personalities of Stanley Cup contenders on `TSN Inside Sports: Adidas Road to the Stanley Cup.'
